The director of the previous two films, Paul King, decided not to direct this installment
Story
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives at the Bear Retirement Home. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery takes them on an unexpected journey.
However, he pitched the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer
He appears in Graham Norton and guests: Billy Crystal/Emily Mortimer/Hugh Bonneville/Pharrell Williams/Michael Kiwanuka (2024). Paddington in Peru is a great, enjoyable film, however it is the weakest of the 3 Paddington films.
Still, I had a good time watching this
It looks great on the big screen, the scenery and locations are beautiful and the CGI of the bears looks great. The acting and story are good, nothing groundbreaking or better than the previous two films, but the charm of the two is missing from the third.
Overall, another great movie worth seeing in the cinema
It had some funny moments and is a fun family movie. It is a little silly at times, which would have worked if the charm was there.
