Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for her innocence and life after stumbling upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first major television role. There are many elements of this series that are well done. But it just felt awkward. There were so many things in the writing, direction and acting that felt awkward. At times it was embarrassing that some of the dialogue felt so incomplete and unpolished that I shook my head. It made the relationships in the story feel incomplete and lacking in depth. I feel like I should have felt warm feelings for many of the characters, but I didn’t. I understand the techniques of making viewers feel uneasy, but this is different. If it was intentional, the execution failed. If this is a new style of filmmaking, I hope it passes.
