Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025)
Miami, 1991. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he transforms from a schoolboy into a vengeful serial killer with the guidance of his father Harry… Christian Slater is older than James Remar was when Dexter (2006) first aired.. I am a huge fan of Dexter, to the core.
Like Harry (according to Dexter), change is not easy for me
Dexter (seasons 1-8) is the only show I watch all the time. So when Dexter: New Blood came out, initially the change of setting, the coldness, the absence of some of my favorite cast members, and the lack of humor and Latin music were huge disappointments for me. However, after watching it as a standalone show (without comparisons to the original), I liked it. Now, with this new show, of course, we’re not used to the new faces in the cast.
Yes, we all wish Michael K
We all remember the young Dexter, Deb, and Harry who looked different, even Laura Moser. However, I think it might be unfair to judge the casting, since we’re not in the shoes of the casting directors and producers. I believe they should have taken into account a lot more than just the similar looks. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar, and the rest of the original cast could magically play younger versions of their own characters, but time only goes in one direction.
(Bonus: I really like Christian Slater
He’s great as always!) So far, after watching the first episode twice, I’m liking it. I think everyone did a pretty decent job stepping into Dexter’s big shoes. I can’t deny the fact that I’m even more excited to watch Dexter: Resurrection now that I’ve seen Dexter come back to life in the ER. In short, I think this show is great and I’ll probably like it even more as time goes on.
I’m sure you’ll love it!
