Honestly, I had high hopes for this film for 3 months and honestly, I’m very disappointed with the script, because it’s so bad and boring, you didn’t expect it, finally, and the story kind of explains and happens like this , because there was a very good plot and great potential to get the best story, love the film industry, such a shame! First of all the plot of the script is great, you managed to make such a good story to attract the audience but unfortunately the way the script is handled was misinterpreted by the writers… because the old period that explains the childhood is cool but too long and you feel boring because so many things happened and that’s very useful to show and explain like 30 minutes to show the past will be great but 1 hour and 15 minutes is too long!!!
You expect the movie to be re-released when you see the old children in adult people, well
notice that nothing moves, everything is too slow, there is not much action, so the main character could make a redemption about his old problems, to take revenge on all the people who betrayed him but he didn’t… I mean the story will be better with ideas and it’s so disappointing that the dramatic scene was not enough, too bad because it will be a great story !!! And about the script, the two main actors that we love, only play 20 minutes together, it is not enough for a very long film of 2 hours and 40 minutes and a shame because we expected more moments with these two actors, very bad point …
because an alternative of some other ideas would be great, but it didn’t happen
The direction, soundtrack, lights and colors of the team, are only the good points of the film, with also the good performance of all the cast, but for me the worst points are the very slow and long script that killed the film … Thank you Gilles Lelouche for your great direction, but your screenwriters and the different choices made by them killed the film, even if this story is from a book and you can’t create the ideas you want .. .
